Unit5 What do they do?

【教学内容】

义务教育教科书《英语》五年级上册 Unit5 What do they do? (Story time)

【设计理念】

通过翻转课堂，体现生本学习、合作学习和个性化学习，提升学习的有效性。

【教学目标】

1.知识目标

① 词汇teacher, teach, write, work, doctor, help, worker, nurse

② 句型及日常交际用语 What does he/she do?

He’s/ She’s a teacher/writer/factory/worker/…

2.能力目标

① 学会谈论职业名称和工作内容，训练综合运用语言的能力；

② 通过课堂的翻转，培养自主学习和合作学习的能力。

3.情感目标

通过谈论职业话题，引导学生尊重每一种职业。

【教学重点】

能正确流利地朗读课文，整体理解语篇，并能灵活运用所学句型谈论职业的话题。

【教学难点】

通过课堂观察及时了解学生的不同学习需求，进行个性化指导。

【教学准备】

自主学习任务单、微视频、课件、视频展台、《课课练》

【自主学习任务】

1. 反复听读Unit5 Story time的磁带或光盘，标出朗读符号，能较熟练地朗读单词和课文；

2. 反复观看微视频《如何谈论职业》，能听懂、会说、会读8个职业类单词。能掌握询问他人职业的句型，并了解动词的第三人称单数形式；

3. 阅读理解课文，了解文中各人物的职业内容，完成课本P.50的填空以及自主学习单中的表格。

【教学过程】

Step1 Warming up 

1. Sing the song: They sing happily

2. Ask and answer: Who sings happily? What other jobs do you know?

3. Make a new song.

（设计意图：检测学生课前自主学习后对职业类单词的掌握情况）

Step2 Check and learn

1. Look at the picture, _____and _____are talking about their parents’ _____.

What do they do? (揭题)

2. Watch the cartoon. Ask and answer.

A: What does he/she do?   B: He’s/She’s …

3. Group work.

a. Choose one character, write about his or her job.

b. Put them on the blackboard. Check the answers. 

c. Check the answers of ‘Think and write’ on P 50.

4. Try to retell.

Step 3 Reading time

1. Listen to the computer and check the reading marks.

2. Read with the computer.

3. Dubbing time.

Step 4 Take a break

Sing a song ‘What does your father do?’

（设计意图：以歌曲的形式巩固课文内容，活跃课堂气氛）

Step 5 Exercise time

1. Listen and judge.

2. Read, choose and write.

（设计意图：通过听说读写训练，内化新语言的学习，提升语用能力）

Step 6 Show time

A class reunion in 2034

（设计意图：展示运用新语言谈论职业话题的情况，引导学生尊重每一种职业）

Step 7 Homework

1. Preview Sound time, Culture time and Cartoon time. 

2. Do a survey of Checkout time.

3. Watch the micro-video about jobs.
