The key points are about knowledge and skill, while the difficult ones are how to let them use the language knowledge they have learned.

And the attitude and emotion aims also need great efforts to realize.

Step 1  Warming-up

1 Greeting .

2 Free talk

This is my first time here.  Could you introduce your city to me? I want to know more about your city.

Let the Ss to introduce Kunming with a word or a sentence.

PPT : Kunming is a              city.             .

Step2  Pollution in our daily life  

1 T: Kuming is a really beautiful and wonderful city.  It always keeps developing and growing. Everything is changed, but also the Environment. Look at the picture. What can you see in the picture?

Learn : clean , dirty.

2  Air pollution .

   3  Can you find the pollution in your daily life ?

    

Step 3  What makes our city dirty ?

1  Discussion

Discuss in your group.

Ask the Ss to say their own answers.

2  Read the text on the page 58 and try to find more answers.

Step 4  What can we do to keep our city clean  ?

 To get the second question: People make our city dirty and messy.

Q3 : Who keeps our city clean ?

3 They clean our city day and night when we are still sleeping. They work so hard. As the master of the city, what can we do?

4  Discuss in your group :

反思:本单元是有关环境保护的话题,主要学习环境污染产生的原因What makes our dirty?及如何进行环境保护What can we do to keep our city clean?六年级的学生对环保这个话题并不陌生,他们已经通过各种渠道,如其它课程,媒体等对污染原因和环保的重要性,方法都有所了解,关键是他们通过本单元的学习学会如何用英文表达,也使环保意识进一步得以增强。
